The Graduate Liberal Studies Programs at Rice University and Southern Methodist University invite you to participate in the annual Texas Graduate Liberal Studies Symposium—a gathering of scholars dedicated to lifelong learning and interdisciplinary exploration.
This symposium offers a platform for students and alumni of Texas-based graduate liberal studies programs to share their research, ideas, and creative work. Through presentations and discussions, participants will continue to engage with both timeless and contemporary human questions across the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and creative writing disciplines.
We welcome presentation proposals from students and alumni eager to contribute their insights. Whether you plan to present or attend as an engaged listener, we encourage you to register, connect and exchange ideas with fellow scholars in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Call for Presentations
Interested in presenting? We invite students and alumni to submit 250-word abstracts for 20-minute presentations on any topic, including interdisciplinary and creative projects. Proposals are due by Sunday, June 15, 2025.
