BIOGRAPHY

Jessica Strait joined the Rice School Literacy and Culture team as Senior Program Administrator in 2026. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a master’s degree in Library Science. Her professional background spans both classroom teaching and librarianship, reflecting her strong commitment to learning, research, and literacy across educational settings.

Prior to joining SLC, Jessica taught high school science for five years before transitioning into librarianship, where she served as a middle school librarian for two years and most recently worked as an academic librarian.

In her role at School Literacy and Culture, Jessica supports the coordination and administration of programs that serve educators and advance the organization’s literacy initiatives. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, running, and spending time with her dog.
