Kelli Newman, APR, is President of the communication strategies firm, Newman & Newman, Inc. Based in Houston, Kelli leads a team of talented professionals dedicated to advancing the success of purpose-driven clients through differentiating brand messaging and award-winning marketing communication tools. Throughout her career, Kelli has worked with member institutions of the world’s largest medical center, best-selling authors, accomplished researchers, elected officials, and nationally recognized nonprofits. Her communication strategies have literally helped clients save lives and raise millions of dollars. In 2017 Kelli began experimenting with how the firm’s unique approach to capturing the essence of an organization in brand messaging could achieve even greater impact. The result was Experienced Messaging®, a proprietary process she created for translating who an organization says it is into what customers, employees and strategic partners authentically experience for increased customer satisfaction, strengthened company cultures, and reduced employee turnover. After extensive review, Experienced Messaging® has been awarded a registered trademark by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Accredited by the Public Relations Society of America since 1989, Kelli is an instructor for Rice University’s LINE program, teaching marketing and public relations. She is also a founding member of the Ignite Health Network, a by-invitation coalition of executive women with leadership responsibilities influencing the future of healthcare. Prior to joining Newman & Newman in 1996, she spent a combined 11 years as a Communications Specialist for Baylor College of Medicine (including the DeBakey Heart Center) and Director of Public Relations and Communications for Texas Children’s Hospital.
