Rebecca Councill is the Manager of Operations and Communications for the Harris County Domestic Violence Coordinating Council (HCDVCC), where she helps to tell the stories of their survivors. She is also the founder of CLR Digital Marketing, a consultancy that provides social media strategy, content creation, and analytics for nonprofits and small businesses. Through CLR Digital Marketing, Rebecca has worked with clients such as National Lemonade Day, Hotel Ylem, Waxing the City, and other heart-centered organizations that aim to make a positive impact in their communities. Her approach combines data-driven insights with authentic storytelling to help organizations grow their reach and deepen engagement. In addition to her professional roles, Rebecca serves on the board of Texas Transgender Nondiscrimination Scholars (Texas TNS), a grassroots nonprofit advocating for inclusive policies in education. She is passionate about building connections across sectors to drive social change. Since 2019, Rebecca has been an instructor at Rice University’s Glasscock School of Continuing Studies, teaching nonprofit professionals how to harness data metrics, social media, and digital tools to amplify their missions. When she’s not working, Rebecca enjoys watching true crime documentaries with her wife, building LEGO creations, and sharing coffee with fellow collaborators. Her career and personal passions reflect her belief that creativity, community, and strategy can inspire meaningful change.
